Ludum Dare 32 Jam: Get Off My Land

Working once again as a team of three with Carl and Paul, this was the sixth Ludum Dare 72-hour jam that I have taken part in.

The theme for LD32 was "An Unconventional Weapon", and we had a few ideas for not only that theme but for all of the final 20 potential themes of the competition. For once, we were quite well-prepared!

But once again, in the cold light of the first morning of the Jam, none of the ideas we had on paper felt like something achievable in the timelimit, or held up to the scruitiny of design planning.

So we ended up going with an idea that popped into my head shortly after finding out the chosen theme: animals as weapons.

You play as a farmer that must defend his farm from evil bankers, who have come to foreclose his property. But all the farmer has to protect his land with is his livestock!

At 89th overall, we didn't place as well as we had hoped; but it was significantly higher than our first entry as a team of three. So I guess we're improving?
